Good Night and Good Luck

Good Night and Good Luck definitely gets points for being stylized well to get the look of the 1940s and 50s, and it was a smart choice to shoot it in black and white, which close attention paid to lighting. The melding of actual footage and fictional scenes was effective, almost seemless. It was interesting to see a (fictitious) depiction of what went on behind the scenes with Edward R. Murrow, although he seemed to always remain in that dignified caricature (perhaps Edward R. Murrow actually did act like that even off camera, and they were staying true to form). This film was a good history lesson about the feud between Murrow and McCarthy, and more interesting than a straight documentary on the subject.
